Absurdity
In terms of words, an absurdity is a non sequitur based on a false premise. Non sequiturs are wrong logical conclusions based on sound premises, however when not only the conclusion is wrong but also the premises are flawed, the entire logical construct becomes absurd. This is a relevant field of discussion in philosophy where statements and conclusions will very quickly hit the limits of logic and reason.
