-Rilynn Brianna Scherer is my best friend. She is the daughter to a generational [[Jehovah's Witnesses|Jehovah's Witnesses]] family but, due to either good or back luck depending on how one sees it, disillusioned from the cult and is now forced to keep quiet about her real beliefs as she works towards achieving independence from her parents. Being a witness daughter, her access to education, society, information, privacy and other basic necessities is severely restricted in an attempt to cut off spiritual dissent from Jehovah Witness dogma. My communication with her is affected by that as she is forced to only ever talk to me in secret by abusing loopholes and blind spots of the "security app" that her parents use to surveil Rilynn's digital activities.
-With her access to society outside of the cult being cut off deliberately (to prevent Rilynn from being exposed to worldly ideals that could potentially make her start doubting her "faith") and the constant abuse through manipulation, monitoring, intimidation tactics (including serious physical abuse, and things like "You are unlovable" being something Rilynn is already //used to//), never being given any time alone without supervision, no adequate health care, constant pressure, always being blamed for everything that goes wrong in the house and the fact that her mother was being coerced using manipulation and lies into a marriage she now regrets as she cannot break up without losing her livelihood and also being excommunicated from the witnesses (apart from getting beaten up by the father - not that he doesn't already beat her up, but if she suggested divorce she would REALLY get beat up), and not to mention years of utter and complete neglect, Rilynn is now suffering from impaired psychological and partially physiological development which expresses itself through what appears to be severe depression with suicidal tendencies and immunocompromization.
