+The path to finding a consistent moral model for the world is my largest and perhaps most "epic" undertaking yet. I am somewhat proud of it because I spent the bigger part of my life working on this with no outside help or even guidance at all. If I died today, the thing I could be most proud of would be independently rediscovering utilitarianism as a 15 or 18 year old fuck.
+Unfortunately, I do not think I'll ever be able to do it justice. Not because of how immaticulate and complex the topic is, but because my standard here would be writing a piece that could convince absolutely //anyone//. The reality is that I will probably not convince anyone who doesn't already believe it, and that makes me sad. This is the foundation of my worldview, and being unable to make people at least agree with me that it makes sense shakes me to my core. What is wrong with it? Am I missing something? Or can I really just dismiss them as "they don't understand it"? Any move away from utilitarianism today would be a major paradigm shift because of how much it explains for me, and how much it gives me to live for (ie. gives me direction). My entire interpretation of law is based, essentially, on my understanding of utilitarianism and burden of proof((Shouldn't this be "burden of evidence"? Huh.)). This is my magnum opus, and I worry I will die without ever being heard.
