I am not a funny person but, unfortunately for the rest of society, that does not stop me from trying anyway. Some things are just too crazy even for me to resist the urge to joke about them, so I may end up inserting some funny here and there. This is usually funny or not, but tends to end as dry sarcasm. I like to think of my jokes as being mostly accessible but, to prevent confusion or just to improve accessibility to my texts in general, I will here and there insert a special disclaimer in front of sarcastic paragraphs or even entire pages to mark out the funnies explicitly. Not everyone is very good at “getting it” - including myself, actually, even though I'm the most subtle joker around - so I think such a disclaimer will benefit everyone. Also stops me from being misunderstood and/or being misrepresented. I won't put notices in front of every bit of humor. What follows is the disclaiming note for those sections:

Remember that while I try to make notes here and convey useful information and primers for the exploration of all kinds of topics, I am still a personality and this project is based on the expression of my personality. This is not an academic - though hopefully useful - resource. I make no claims on professionalism. This is just a guy doing dumb things in the hopes of being less dumb after doing it.
